😁 the two main questioyn that should be asked here;

1. Was it really necessary for them to give their opinion on that matter?
2. Did they have to mention that lady who had her back broken and follow up with their nuggets of "wisdom"?

They could just as easily talked about her then waited for another session to express their opinions on what women should be doing (like they always do) without any backlash. But nooooooo give a man an inch and he'll take a mile
They've gotten used to talking sh!t without any consequences for so long and don't even know what "tact"is any more.

It is a mark of an uncivil society where people take what belongs to others either violently or by deception. Uncivil societies are disorderly because they are not moderated by laws, and most importantly, by values.
When that disorderliness sets in, or is allowed to set in, life then becomes Hobesian, that is nasty, brutish and short.
I do not condone violence and in fact I am opposed to any form of violence. When we normalize deception and robbery (theft by emotional manipulation) and call it by funny names such as kukula fare, then we are setting the ground for more and more people to feel hopeless and unable to get redress from our law.
The result ni kuchukua sheria mkononi.
Let us reset our values.
My stating where we are or are headed does not in any way mean that I condone.
I do not dispute any of that, if anything I agree with you, a society lacking such vital values as honesty, earning your keep ethically are headed for anarchy, the solution then cannot be normalizing violence, that just makes a bad situation worse, our prisons are full of guys like Moses and women who killed or maimed because they felt deceived, they not only succeeded in condemning themselves.

We should instead be talking about instilling the right values, now that does not condemn both parties to tears.

We also need to accept not all relationships are destined to end the way we hope they do, as we teach values we also need to train kids on how to cope when interactions do not end the way we planned.

but mr black, we live in a society full of all characters,no perfect society in the whole world. So nothing about normalizing violence or anything but adopting to the reality. Am sure if you have kids, you warn them not to speak to strangers or accept anything from strangers, does that mean you're normalizing kidnapping or accepting the fact that the world is imperfect? we have good guys and bad guys, shida ni you'll never know until it's too late.
@Anglututu is not seeing this argument.

If we inculcated good morals and values in our daughters not to accept favors or freebies we won't be having such a discussion about violence meted on girl child.

Every society has scoundrels, that I do not dispute but the remedy is not violence, the cost of violence far outweighs the benefits, that is my contention.

I can promise you this, the guys cheering on and rationalising violence as a remedy wouldn't as much as a slap a woman if she said no to sex at the end of the date but they'll encourage others to do it, ikifika kulipa deni mtoto wa wenyewe anarushwa Kamiti mansolo, deprived of freedom and lonely, the cheering squad ikiwa kwa local getting heartbroken and swiftly moving on after writing off the loss making investment.

Right now Moses is in remand, the cheering squad is at home wanakamua kungurus bila huruma, how is violence a win for Moses?

Shikaneni mkatetee boychild and ask for "justice". No one's stopping you.

I don't hear anyone raising this much ruckus over the fact that some white randos descended from the people who enslaved your ancestors are now burning our forests and hunting/killing our wildlife IN THIS DAY AND AGE without any repurcussions.

I think people are just super idle and frustrated and have no idea how to channel those feelings.

I think you're right. No wonder women and children in Muslim countries have zero incidences of rape or sexual violence to even speak of. All that covering up and being "chaste" has made those places the safest for women and children. Safer than first world countries even!

I know what you've just done, kindly provide statistics on prevalence from those countries you've mentioned we start another post, meanwhile let's stick to this issue we're trying to fix.

Who mentioned females? Check my posts, I clearly point to violence as an eventuality we can expect from both men and women, Lang'ata Women's Prison is testimony to the ability of women to mete out violence.

For me violence simply does not help the victim to heal, the law will punish them and will do so with little leniency regardless of the pain inflicted on them.

True that our sisters should know that one @wrongturn can have fatal consequences, we have psychopaths and sociopaths in the general population.

The man who killed the woman has not been served justice but someone who choose to speak their truth is fired from a job because of airing an opinion. How can we say we're free when a dissenting opinion is shunned?

The irony is that EABL are choosing to be the moral police when they have done far worse in breaking marriages, deaths, accidents, diseases etc by the sale of their products.

All in all I blame men. As long as a majority of us are worshipping the ground women walk on, this will continue to happen.
