The author is right on one thing, Kalenjins will never burn their own businesses. And not only them, even all the other tribes except us.

One thing us Kikuyus never ever get to appreciate is how we are viewed by other tribes through very little fault of our own, the masses, but because of our leadership entitlement.

Now here comes an individual who represents that very entitlement to the nth degree trying to claim Kikuyu minds and votes as his own property to auction as political capital. The guy who was trying to bring kikuyu mps to heal. The guy who is known for using goons against political opponents, even as recently as 2022 when he wanted to the secure the DP ticket in UDA. I even have the picture of his goons lighting a kasmall performative bonfire near our rural home somewhere in my google cloud.

I keep telling you we know this guy inside and out. But because Ruto is the bogeyman and he must be hated at all costs, he is the one organizing goons to loot and burn shops.

Please. Si ati Ruto ni wetu and I love him very much. I am just not used to lying to myself.
