It behoves me as a leader that once in a while I show people the way and that includes deconstructing narratives that could lead to tears all round.yet you yourself specialize on the Tangatanga one?
Like I have said above, once we get to class politics, tribal zitakua zinatutoka pole pole. Tunabaki na the other humongous one. Corruption. The above posts while making sense, still suggest that we are better off engaging in tribal politics. Another evil.
However uncomfortable class politics is, I find that it is closer to pointing at where the actual problem has been in kenya.
What those that are uncomfortable are suggesting is that we ignore the real problem and pursue our normal brand of tribal politics where they are not the subject and should any clash occur, it be at the level of the commoners as they watch.
That is what they are saying in a nutshell.
Do you think this is right?
Agreed kabisa. Let us take the conversation upstairs. With their discomfort, then we might discuss objectively about corruption, poverty and mismanagement of the country.Like I have said above, once we get to class politics, tribal zitakua zinatutoka pole pole. Tunabaki na the other humongous one. Corruption.
The fallacy of the rich versus poor narrative is as false as it is stupid. So, supposing we go with the person driving it will there be poverty and poor people in five years, or ten? Shall we elect another person who will remind us that there are rich and poor? Is he going to abolish capitalism because as long as there is capitalism there will always be rich and poor? Are you willing to hive off ten of your acres to give to a fellow poor man from Kibera because you belong to the same tribe (of poor)? Don't make me laugh.I think we are on the right path. Finally realizing that the two tribes we have are 'rich' and 'poor' tuachane na one of two problems that have have been endemic since independence.
Number one, a classless society is eutopic and impractical. So at the outset a person telling you he is leading you on an equalization mission is lying. A classless society has failed where they tried pure communism. In one of the last bastions of communism, China, they are running a hybrid system where means of production at the household level are in private hands while at the industrial level they are both in state and private hands. However uncomfortable class politics is, I find that it is closer to pointing at where the actual problem has been in kenya.

If someone was promising a more equitable society through policy measures then that is practical. Wealth redistribution by taking from the rich will only put the country in an endless cycle of wars.
My biggest beef though is that even learned Kenyans are mouthing slogans while knowing fully well that the person driving the narrative is a scoundrel whose only goal is state capture.
Amen. I consider this good wishes and hopefully I'll get the paper to go with the honorific soon.Daktari,
The scoundrelship was always there and it is not that we did not know about it. The reason I supported their side is that we have always been unfortunate to be presented with two bad choices to choose from. Be sure I would not have vote for their side if there had a better, credible, third choice. And it is not that the other side is unblemished...they are equally scoundrels. When was the epiphany on his scoundrelship? Pre or post the two elections of 2017? If the other side are unblemished? why did they join hands with a scoundrel (for the lack of a better word) and aren't they scoundrels by association?
I did not imply that we angle for a classless society. What I pray is that weNumber one, a classless society is eutopic and impractical. Ok, we continue with taking 'Kikuyu elders' to Bondo for endorsement. The fallacy of the rich versus poor narrative is as false as it is stupid. Is that what I have said in my post? Just answer my last question if you will be willing to split your land with a landless family. If it is no then stop clothing tribalism in lofty slogans. Some of us can see through the smokescreens.Ok, we continue with taking 'Kikuyu elders' to Bondo for endorsement.
My friend, there is no good war, except the war on corruption. I a country like Kenya how will you separate any war from tribes? Like I said in an earlier post let's stop mouthing empty slogans and look at the practicalities of what we're talking about. I am out of here.I would rather a class war than a tribal war.
