Field Marshal
Elder Lister
When, all of two years ago, I predicted tectonic realignment of the political scene in Kenya some of you called me a senile T. rex.
When I asserted that the GEMA nation felt betrayed by Uhuru and regreted electing him you said that I was delusional, that Uhuru only had to click his fingers and all of GEMA would dutifully line up behind him.
When I said that the handshake with the witchdoctor Babuon - the most hated leader in the history of GEMA after Moi - would destine the Kenyatta family into the dustbins of history you called me an old fool.
I hope you saw what happened in Meru, which BBI apologists had thought was a 'softer' venue than say Kiambu, Murang'a or Nyeri.
Wait to see what will happen in Nakuru.
I have said and I will say it again; the GEMA Nation is a proud community that will NEVER ever sell its soul to the devil for 30 pieces of silver. In the whole of Africa, we were the first to wage an armed struggle against colonialists post 1900 - earlier than even the Algerians or the South Africans with Umkhonto we Sinzwe. No other than Mandela himself said he learnt a lot form the Mau Mau.
This is not tribal chest-thumping - in any case GEMA is a multi-ethnic grouping. It is saying the truth, however hurtful it is. There is a reason why Indians and other oppressors don't employ us as slavery shop-attendants.
In the case of Uhuru, the issue is simple. As a community we struck a deal with Ruto, and by extension the Kalenjin, that they will support one of our own and then we would support them later. This was a covenant not between two individuals but between two communities whose top-most leaders had been hauled to the Hague by the same wazungus who had killed my people en mass in the 1950s - the pain of those atrocities still endures.
So, we agreed with Ruto, the lion of the Rift. How Uhuru - in his drunken incompetent, drug-induced haze - came to think that he is the best thing that has ever happened to Kenya, and to GEMA, is beyond me. Eti ametubebea akili, how now?
Many Kenyans from other communities do not know this, but the average GEMA man or woman believes in the philosophy of Kihooto - roughly translated to mean fairness+justice+truthfulness. This is why the whole community can face in one direction - thuraku thuraku manenoz - without even consulting one another. Kihooto is in their DNA.
Uhuru, in his imperious stupidity has developed a Maria Antoinette psychosis; bereft of the wisdom of his people and the guiding philosophy of Kihooto, he has allowed the delusion that his family has a god-given title to Kenya to drive him mad.
As we know, those the gods want to destroy they first make mad.
As for me and my people we will keep the promise and complete the journey. It is required of us by the spirits of our people to always be men and women of our word, the people of Kihooto.
Riwe Riwalo, thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai!
