I got to know about sex when HIV/AIDS victims were still being buried in plastic bags. More like being buried in a giant condom! But people young or not still engaged in casual and careless sex. They still do now, with some drastic outcomes.

Sex is a very powerful human instinct. Everyone you know including yourself is evidence of sex. Teenagers do have strong sexual urges like everyone else but many of them lack self control because they are still immature. Thats why sex education and birth control are essential tools to prevent teenage pregnancies.

I would rather my child was aware about her sexuality. That she needs to know how to control her feelings and not fall into the instant gratification trap. But if she failed to control her urges, I would rather she avoids getting pregnant, getting an STI or even HIV/AIDS. The same applies to my son. Teenagers should be provided with sex education and birth control.
