General Dr jonas malheiro Savimbi, born in muhlango province 1934,was a veteran warlord who fought with the Portuguese colonial government since 1967 with his famous UNITA movement. ,He enjoyed the support of USA government, as an anti-communist personnel. After independence ,Savimbi fell out with the leadership of president Augostinoh Neto who opted to support socialism philosophy, gaining the USSR facilitation. Upon this political differences, he launched again his quadrille warfare, fighting Netos administration that enabled Edwardo Dosandoz to overthrow him in 1987.Savimbi proceeded to fight Edwardos government until his assassination in 2002 .

Politics in Kenya have real affected this sector, Ruto has genuine passion in this area. Every week he personally had time to either ground breaking for new institutions, attending graduation or commissioning new equipment etc, etc but rao was not happy, just like sonko and badi ,rao realized ruto popularity at grassroots is rising,particularly with young people. Today jamaa ako pale Karen na innovation zinamfuta huko.. truth be told every constituent should have fully functional polytechnic, brand new No upgrading. No institute of science and technology to be upgraded to university. The youth must be empowered with technical skills if the vision 2030 can be achieved. The upgrading of 10 national polytechnics was one major step in realization of vision 2030.

This is crucial; we got caught up in the race for 'papers' and every institution wanted to be upgraded to a Uni so they could cash in. I once met a guy who worked for Civicon; he told me that when they were doing construction for Tullow they were forced to bring in welders from India as our locals had none of the certifications required.
