I welcome other parts that are beneficial to the common man but increasing political seats is a No for me . We can't even fund our current budget without borrowing and we now want more seats .Remember the current govt has introduced taxes to internet subscription , fuel , soft drinks , etc na bado pesa haitoshi . Unga is still at 120 shillings . Let's address the basics please .

There are some good proposals but the bad parts far outweigh the good ones in terms of their effect, the changes in the political architecture are cleverly crafted to consolidate immense power around the President and political parties.

Take the Judiciary Ombudsman appointed by the President for one, "parliamentary" political parties nominating IEBC commissioners, the Police being brought under direct control of the Interior Minister, abolishing nominated MP slots for vulnerable and marginalized groups and instead rewarding politicians who fail at the ballot with nominated seats in Parliament, this is an a shameless attempt to entrench the parasitic political class.

actually if you read it, most of the things can be addressed by simply implementing the current constitution or amending laws in parliament, but they want to sugar coat them to force a referendum since anything touching on structure of executive and parliament must be subjected to a referendum.

halafu those good part can be easily implemented by simply passing legislation kama hiyo ya kulipa suppliers within 30 days moses kuria has had a pending bill already in parliament, it doesn't need bbi, hiyp ya helb pia it's simple, it just need helb to amend it's lending policies, no need of bbi but they have simply no reason to amend the constitution but they've to mask their real intentions of creating unnecessary seats. sahi Twitter na Facebook wamelipa bloggers to trend the good parts hoping to win
