In The HeadlinesFriday 19th Feb: Every Home to Pay NHIF 6000

I also don't agree with 6K. Jamaa wa mjengo earns 600 on a good day in Nairobi. His maximum take home is some 14,000 on an extremely lucky month akiwa na job mwezi mzima. It's not practical to expect him to pay 6,000.

Can someone post the article hapa tujisomee? It doesn't add up. Our people cannot afford it.
The government has announced new measures that will require every household to make a Ksh500 contribution to the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) for universal health coverage.

“Government focus is on the establishment of a mandatory UHC scheme to be managed by NHIF and regulated by the Ministry of Health and act as the national scheme for all persons resident in Kenya, notwithstanding one’s social status,” he said in a Budget Policy Statement for the fiscal year 2012/2022.

According to Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani the amount will cover outpatient and inpatient services, including maternity, dialysis, cancer treatment and surgery.

i pay 6k a yr then they put a cap on the number of kids i can register with them to 3.
ni urimu

You must be rich to have more than 3 kids. I suggest you take an extra cover for Khupipi and extra kids. Don't ask me about having more than 6 kids because I know you are thinking about that! If you must have more than 6 kids chukua single mother uongeze, she will come with added advantage!
