in the headlines

On a personal level I can't talk about NHIF, one of my ailing elderly relatives was treated for a month as an inpatient at KNH and discharged without paying a single coin with the exception of KSHS 1500 at admission. Mark you, they were paying only @500 shillings for a month. The bill had accrued to hundreds of thousands, if it wasn't for NHIF?
The universal health care the way to go
Forget the 6k per month nonsense !

Intellectual assessment= personal opinion
then let me know where the assessment is wrong or what you disagree with, that is why I put up the thread for people like you to also share your personal opinions as well since they will not become facts until September 2022.

I have experienced this too. There is a relative who has had surgery and goes for dialysis twice a week. All they pay is transport to and from the health facility.
To some,NHIF is a saviour.

Has Azimio said that they will increase tax to finance the 6,000 to families?

Not my personal opinion but Azimio themselves have said they will reduce corruption to finance the 6,000.
Thank you, that is one facet. You asked for the manifesto and that thread provides the unofficial manifesto for both sides, tunaweza anza kuchambua the rest kutoka hapo

These rates are OK, as long as public health keeps improving, but punitively punishing jobless people is not the right direction

Niliskia Ephraim Maina akisema that in Rware the medical facilities are so bad, for a county that got some 38billion.

Then he said that he saw someone say that kuna bee hives that were given to people for some income generating activities but each cost, I think 189,000

Alafu the host in that Citizen TV interview akauliza if it came with an integrated wifi or something to that effect.

Than Ephraim quipped that it's as if Nyuki za Nyiri zinapenda mbao zimepigwa randa.

I doubt Ephraim has a chance...lakini pesa ako nazo...not a person to be undermined.

With ksh500 contribution per month ( national hospital insurance fund nhif ) will cover more Kenyans seeking health care. The initial will remain NHIF but H will stand for Health not hospital
The contribution remains constant right? Secondly what does the UHC say about non-members are they still covered?
