Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says government has not made use of face masks mandatory during the upcoming voting process as purported on ongoing advisory in various media platforms.

In a statement Monday, Kagwe says wearing of face masks remains optional as per the Ministry of Health directive. However, he said one is required to wear a mask when in contact with other people in closed or confined spaces.
