si guys complained when kfc, galitoes etc imported potatoes from Egypt?ilisemekana ni because of quality, also potatoes in local supermarket are very clean, now mkiambiwa muoshe ndo kila mtu akuwe na opportunity ya ku supply bado mnapiga kelele, this is basically cutting out the brokers, a farmer can now harvest ,wash in his /her farm and supply themselves to quickmart or naivas or even kfc.
It's a win win for the farmer or you can sell to brokers and let them wash for you.

I'm also convinced wamechochwa wakatae kuosha by the brokers who will then go on to sell in KGs..unauziwa 2Kg of waru which is probably 1.5 waru and 0.5 Kg soil

Hii sio practical kwa farming systems na land holding system zetu.
Kfc wanataka relatively a fixed quantity ya waru on a daily basis, mkulima atatoa maybe 10tonnes once every 3/4 months. So hapo huwezi toa broker hata na dawa. Na usiongee mambo ya storage, small scale farmers hawana hio capacity. Hata huko majuu hao organic farmers huvuna direct to the market, large-scale farmers ndio wanaweza kuweka storage facilities
