Just watching a documentary on them na nashangaa kwanini hawajawai fika Kenya.

Do they have offers huko where they are located? Cc @emali
Good question.
KFC has invested in franchises in Kenya towns and are doing booming business. So not sure why McDonalds are still reluctant.
My comments are from a business point of view. My personal view is to keep our young ones away from these fast food offerings to reduce the risk of obesity.

hata mimi hushangaa mbona hawajafika Kenya... the food is actually cheaper than kfc, burgerking etc.. na prices zake in UK ziko centralised....offers kama vile wrap of the day as a large meal.. unakula a very delicious grilled/fried chicken breast wrap with bacon and salad, large chips, na a drink of your choice for £3.99...nikiingia kfc ndio niskie kama kuna kitu nimetafuna lazima niianzie about twice that amount

WHAT’S IN THIS?: MCDONALD’S BIG MAC
We’re often told that you should never eat anything if you don’t recognize everything on the ingredients list. But since most of us have no idea what xanthan gum and potassium benzoate are — or more importantly, what they’re doing to our bodies — we’re decoding the ingredients in the many things Americans put in (and on) themselves with the help of an expert. This edition: McDonald’s Big Mac, which is made from more than 60 ingredients (some of which have ingredients lists of their own) that we’ve broken down in the exact order they appear on their website.

mimi hupeleka my kids once in a while as a treat...and when we are travelling pia huwa convenient.. niliona documentary ya vile junk fast foods zimeharibu watu huko India.. noma sana kumejaa tu toto tunono sana
Once in while not a bad idea. Since most of their friends get treated too.
Shida is when vifaranga want to eat the stuff every weekend, every special day, and more often during holiday breaks.

come to think of it, is the quality of KFC the same even here in Kenya as there?

The fries at any fast food franchise in Kenya will always be better than those in developed countries because the potatoes used are not "tampered" with to extract things like starch before processing for human consumption.

The accompaniments will also have a difference in taste because the burgers and chicken are raised under different conditions. Those in first world countries usually taste like unakula slippers ya Bata topped off with chevda.

Summary, it all still tastes like garbage. Kuleni chipo @ Sonford na mteremshe na tap water.

Pretty much yea. Only difference is the offerings but the chicken ni hard kujua difference since they keep on yapping about their not-so-secret recipe.
BTW, tip hapa 254, zile KFC ziko na drive-thru ni faster than kungoja order yako imalizike

@The.Black.Templar,
I have to be very careful what I say here as I can cause offence and be misconstrued. I have no intention of causing a mutiny over here or having to end up with a revolt on my hands.
Here Following then is my 2 cents worth:

- KFC is more amenable to Africans and Dark Peoples all over than McDonalds (give me time to slip into my helmet please) as we like to tear our meat from the bone (think hotwings and drumsticks).
- We are also known to chew whole bones and even suck out (forgive me again) the bone marrow).
-Mc Donald’s franchises and royalties are more dear and expensive than KFC’s. So is their terms and conditions:
