Untamed govt. Just 2 days ago, he said he wants strong opposition to check on his govt. Today, he's buying them. @mzeiya see what I told you? In JS and supporters' eyes, opposition means ODM and Raila. Huyu atamalisa sisi. KOT will be the official opposition
What if they are the ones who are willingly joining KK because they do not agree with the chief war monger that the election was stolen?

Haha...this was obviously going to happen. Azimio would have paralysed government business at will. In any case ODM have about 100+ on top of Jubilee's as well.

Imagine having a president in Kenya with parliamentary minority and relying on the goodwill of majority to pass the government's agenda. Since when?

not really , that government will work for the people now, it will give and take. Any corruption issue will be highlighted .That government will actually work very well. Parliament will also be very active for the people.

They are being bought because they want to be bought because Raila has indignified the leader of opposition position and the role of opposition. It was not the case when Kibaki, Matiba and Jaramogi were opposition leaders. Raila is the perfect political prostitute. He always wanted to be in opposition for economic gain. He has 0 principles.
People should stop overating him.

That is the bad thing with folks like you that logon to the internet to tweet and tukuna your political opponents.

Please be students of history.

Katiba 2010 was almost a copy & paste of the US Constitution.

Currently the Democrats have a slight majority in Congress. They will be trounced in the November mid-terms and probably lose the House to the Republicans and still have a Democrat POTUS.

Passing the government's agenda is based on the art of persuasion. Not all the policies that Ruto will propose will be bad, and even if there is a strong opposition would pass. There are some that would be middle ground would need to be debated, checked and a compromise made. This will also keep spending in check and not just give the Executive a blank check.

That is how it is meant to work. Not having everyone trooping to one side.

You can make your point without insulting me, Senator.

First of all, you make an error comparing 200+ year old democracies with a 60 year old one.

Second, the easiest example you could make, when minority is government is what happened to Sonko. Both Jubilee and ODM MCA's ganged up and impeached him over not releasing funds to NMS. We won't even bother mentioning the terrorism charges that came after.

What we are seeing at the moment is where the hunter's trap has been used against the hunter..

The Azimio mongrel was meant to divide votes at the national level with village parties from all corners of Kenya. Instead, the splits only happened at the grassroot level.

The marriage of convinience that Uhuru promulgated with over 20+ parties (that most of you were boasting about) has broken up once the incentive has been taken away.

Expecting KK with a parliamentary minority to be magnanimous and not poach MP's is not only foolhardy, but elementary level politics.
