Hundreds to lose jobs as KRA shuts down Keroche Breweries over Sh332m tax row

Based on how KRA works, i.e stealing 1/3 of all collected revenue, they should not close Keroche since that is a significant reduction in cash available for KRA to steal from.

So there is no business sense or even corruption sense in closing down Keroche.

Why why is some corruption acceptable to you and others are not?
No corruption is acceptable to me, my Dear @The.Black.Templar.
However dealing with corruption requires systematic approaches which bring results and do not result in confusion and muddle.

Every corruption case, just like any case, turns up its own facts and certainties. You have to try and judge it on its individual uniqueness. No generalisation otherwise you bring about miscarriage of justice.

And by the way, a very polite question: what makes you happy @The.Black.Templar? I have seen you downplay concluded cases of corruption where culprits have been sanctioned dismissing them as “small fish”!
Do you want the corrupt tried or not? Please make up your mind.

Keroche has a market share of 2%. I doubt any serious international investor would be worried about that.
But really, why would they close a business that pays billions in taxes because of millions? Strategy hapa ni gani? Is it broadening the tax base or narrowing?

Do you deny an international investor is looking to open up a brewery in naivasha and that there are powerful people who want keroche to close by force?
I'm telling you the closure of Keroche cannot be because an international investor wants to come in. A 2% market share is insignificant to be a barrier of entry

So you think it is a coincidence all these issues came up just when the investor expressed interest in opening up in vasha?
