Btw, worst mistake you can ever make ni kuwekelea machine kwa bed. Duvet kwanza blocks all the vents inachemka tu. I remember when I was in campus tukiwa na young kungurus waliwekelea machine ya roomate kwa kitanda ikaanza kutoa moshi. Unfortunately, his machine did not have a thermal shut off that would have saved his laptop. 20k down the drain as a broke fresher.

If the laptop iko na graphics card ya Nvidia or AMD don't waste time have it fixed ASAP .
Disassemble laptop ,unclog fan ,scrape off the dried up thermal paste and then reapply fresh paste .

Have it fixed ASAP .Most laptops with dedicated graphics card use a single copper pipe to transfer heat from the processor and the graphics chip with a single fan . When the fan is clogged the whole system throttles down and worst case display fails .
