I also though the same. I heard that in Africa eagles are found mostly in West Africa. Though I remember hearing the sound of eagles when I was a kid.

4.Steppe Eagle - A visitor from Asia and Russia.
5.Tawny Eagle - Scavenger and hunts small gazelles.

7.Wahlberg’s, Booted, the Greater and Lesser Spotted Eagle
8.Verreaux’s Eagle - large raptor capable if hunting dik diks and bushbucks.

Those are just some of the Eagles in the Raptor family but there are also other raptors such as Falcons, Hawks, Kites, Vultures and Harriers.
