Let me tell you what happens in Kenya, and why it's a desperate case.

Majority of the population are stupid. They do not weigh the merits of electing a certain candidate. As a result, we get the sweetest talker, who often happens to be the worst idiot. And since democracy is one man one vote, we always end up with such. If you recall one, they replace with a worse specimen.

Tell.me how we can get out of such quagmire. Best you can do is to try and enlighten those close to you. But what happens at the ballot is not within your control.

Have you ever sat with someone and they tell you they will vote XYZ coz he gave them beer? You ask about roads, they tell you they don't have a car, therefore roads are not a priority.
You talk about hospitals, and they tell you it is God who heals.
That is an average voter.
Actually where the government failed was in containing the cost of campaigning and enforcing the law against bribing of voters. It has also failed in enforcing chapter 6 requirements.
Where the citizens have failed you have talked about it so I won't belabor the point. Citizens are left with no option in a country where through the media we glorify prostitutes, con men, murderers, drug dealers etc. These are the only ones with money to fund campaigns and so they vie...voters are never rational and the middle class doesn't involve itself in politics...so engagement is between the hustlers and the petty bourgeoisie and you can see the outcome.
When government institutions that are meant to clear candidates to vie for elective seats start to do their job we will have solved half of our problems. The other half we stop being tribal and be objective.

So shida iko wapi? Everybody has different needs and they will vote for whoever the feel will meet their needs. Kama hana gari barabara ni ya nini? If they have no home stima ni ya nini? If they have no food masomo ni ya nini....if your problem is how you will fuel your car tomorrow, kuna wengine who don't give a damn what the price of fuel is...and you cannot judge them for that, neither can you insult them from your high castle

Now, you called me a whiner.
Tell me what else I can do.

I don't refuse, but if your kid wants you to buy them a bouncing castle instead of building a house, shall we say the kid has his/her needs that need to be respected?
We need a dictator to turn things around.

Actually I did that in jest. I had made a comment on Simba Arati and whether his current over zealousness will be the norm for the next 4 years and 11months or he's just another Sonko...your boyfie @Field Marshal aka dirty tirries connoisseur of murarandia made an issue out of it.....so I tagged him

I largely agree with all of you by the way. Democracy is a very stupid form of governing people. Just look at the US electing Trump because whites feel threatened!

Here, your vote has the same weight as a naked Turkana tribesman who's never entered a classroom. How now? Or a perpetual drunk in Mukuru who is raped every day by chokoras. They can't make rational decisions.

Meanwhile, you'll hear people saying we can't compete with China, who's entire politburo is made up tier one STEM graduates....can't happen....

Solution? Devolution might help. When people elect effective local leaders they'll gradually wake up to their impact. If Kihika does not deliver, for example, Nakuruans will rue the day they kicked Lee out and prolly take to voting better leaders...

Guoka, these fools are devolved.
Waiting, sonko....
If all you see are fools everywhere, then you must be the problem with quite a bit of superiority issues. Don't be like that guy who called the people of mukurweini fools because he has a better brain than them, while essentially he is the one who failed to understand the people's needs and therefore lacked comprehension skills

Alright sir.
Waititu and Sonko were the best leaders god gave to the ungrateful county residents.
And Babu Otieno too.
Not forgetting JSKS.
