Probably those are bats, not rats. Had the same issue thinking its rats till in saw a bat sneak out of the house at dusk. The solution was to seal the entrance.

I have another problem...... Sasa panya zilifikiria ziende zikadedi kwa kona ingine impossible kufikia without tearing down the ceiling and now they are liquefying and the body fluids oozing down the walls, staining the ceiling bit and stinking to high heavens...... The smell is nauseating and just feel like throwing up from it and the house stinks
