Bottoms up model debate on Citizen TV now

why is ndii catching when told to explain more about the strategy? for the past few days anyone who questioned him to explain more, they've been blown off.

Because there was nothing to the so-called model ab initio. It was supposed to be just another slogan to replace the dangerous "hustler" narrative which has the potential of sparking off a class/tribal war. It was not meant to be brought centerstage to be debated and possibly deconstructed the way it has and Ndii did not think it through after they agreed on it and his name was tagged to it as the expert consultant.
He is now discomfited for being forced to explain it under pressure and he is not ready. It is a contradiction because it is the product of the same top-down thinking they are criticizing. Hence their rather lame attempt to say they are planning to take it to mashinani for Wanjiku to say what she wants.

Catching...The fact his ego is bruised by being questioned by ordinary joes.

Ndii tweeted a few days ago they won't come out to explain it this early to avoid getting copied as the competitors do not have a plan.

You saw the traitor the other day talking about there are very few Kenyan made products and he got blasted for it.

Finally, the debate is shifting from tribal arithmetic....Niliskia Wavinya cautioning Okuyus for disrespecting the presidency.... ati they will stay for 100 years out of government......Ile matusi alipata.
How are ordinary Okuyus benefiting being in government.... People in Kakamega aren't benefitting

What I had posted earlier elsewhere. Wana mutheri

Meanwhile, Alice wahome was asked to explain what it meant and this is what she had to say

Slowly, it will.... remember the current generation has no history...
Mutai Ngunyi even after being given a desk at state house is really struggling.....he is really getting angry

Depending on which side of the isle you are either willing to understand bottom up or you have just closed your mind to anything hasora. There is no big difference between this and the Kenya Economic Stimulus Program of 2009-2010 when, ironically, Uhuru was finance minister. I guess his only input was just to read it.

Asking for clear specifics right now is just a waste of time. Surely the backroom staff, the likes of ndii, are still shaping the policies as the political side of the wing negotiate with leaders in different counties to build numbers.

In the end tutajua what the policy will be but trivializing the conversation, like ndemo said, is intellectual dwarfism.

I wouldn't even bother. Like Ndii, I don't care if people are convinced or not. Hio ni kazi ya politicians.
Because, in reality, everybody will believe what they want based on the candidate they support. Hapo katikati kuna moderates who actually care about the various economic policies but they are the minority.
Kila mtu ajipange.

Actually bottom-up approach is not similar to the economic stimulus program of 2008, the latter simply aimed at infusing cash into the economy through expanded government spending to boost consumption.

The key difference between the bottom-up model and trickle-down model (the 2008 stimulus was on of these) is the former counts on the market to grow the economy, the entire government machinery focuses on cutting redtape, removing obstacles for MSMEs and bridging gaps through policy mainly, government spending is an enabler of this not the driver like in the latter.

If Ndii has his way we are going to see infrastructure projects being judged based on their impact on quality of life, not their trickle-down potential, and a return to prudent financial management not the gung-ho economics of the Kenyatta era.
