Of course it was a photo op when @spear had a government job. A classroom of tablets does not match the grandeur that he promised.

What was the source poll?He cites a survey conducted by a polling firm, and he is a journalist not a blogger.
This data is highly misleading given that it captures both grid and off-grid solutions. In a majority of cases, the off-grid solutions in Kenya are not anywhere as effective as grid electricity, which means they do not qualify to be classified as electricity. If we were to follow the criteria used here, someone with a big phone powerbank would also qualify as connected to an off-grid solution. What I am saying is, unless you are a tourist who has not ventured outside Nairobi, you would know that the 85% figure is unrealistic.
What has Uhuru done to deserve all the hate, matusi, resentment, derision, and hostility that we see on social media?
For nearly 10 years, his gavament has held inflation at the same rate as other previous administrations, the exchange rate has only depreciated slightly due to the Covid impact on tourism, and virtually all economic indicators are stable.
What's more, Uhuru's gavament has achieved some of the greatest developmental milestones since independence.
FACT: Uhuru has tarmacked more roads than ALL the previous administrations put together. The roads are distributed everywhere. Uhuru's contribution to infrastructural development in just 10 years surpass what was done in nearly half-a-century. From the SGR, to projects like the Nairobi Expressway to Kisumu Port to Lamu to tens of huge dams that are expected to change millions of lives. Anybody who remembers, for example, how shabby UpperHill was 10 years ago knows what Uhuru has done in this sector.
FACT: Uhuru has raised electricity connectivity from around 30% to over 80% - the highest in any developing country IN THE WORLD. Electricity production has doubled in just 10 years!
FACT: Uhuru's gavament has come up with some of the fastest innovations to ease mwananchi's life. According to the WB and IMF, Kenya is the most improved country EVER in the ease of doing business. Locally, you now only need to go to your local Huduma centre to get an ID, register a business, etc. Things that used to take an year during Moi's time now take less than a week!
FACT: No president has done as much as Uhuru has for the security sector. From buying the first APCs for the police to establishing SFs to buying new transports for the airforce and attack helos for the army, Uhuru has been transformational. Now every police station has at least two vehicles, the police have new guns, etc etc and the failure of the police to respond to security issues is more to do with corruption than anything else. Look at the way the DCI has been empowered with high tech tools and expertise mpaka now it looks like the FBI; never happened before. Doubt me? When was the last time you heard Al Shabaab has exploded even a grenade in Nairobi? In case you forget, getting into a matatu was a very scary thing until Uhuru took over.
FACT: Uhuru has become the first president to really pay attention to the plight of farmers. Today, the tea and coffee sectors are being totally revamped, with the cartels in the tea sector being dismantled completely. Markets are being built all over. The milk sector is vibrant, and just the other day it was reported that avocado farmers in Murang'a alone earned nearly 10b in one year!
FACT: Uhuru has been the first president to try and implement free education up to Form Four, and universal healthcare. Mathas don't pay maternity fees, and just yesterday for example, Magoha said ALL kids should be allowed to sit their examinations whether they had paid their exam fees or not. THINGS LIKE THESE HAVE NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
I could go on and on and on.
The other day we were entertaining a group of East African journalists (from Rwanda, Uganda, Tz, and Burundi) and they were totally shocked at the negative attitude of Kenyans towards their gavament. After a drive-around in Nairobi (Upperhill, Thika Road, Langata Road, Southern-Bypass etc etc), all 20 of them were like: YOU GUYS LIVE IN EUROPE! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS COMPLAINING?
Now, we could say that Uhuru has failed to control our national debt and that he has allowed corruption to flourish (although, to be fair, its NOT the job of the president to fight corruption, and there's little one can do when the entire society is rotten to the core).
SO WHAT HAS UHURU DONE OR FAILED TO DO THAT HAS AFFECTED YOU PERSONALLY THAT YOU KEEP SPEWING SHIT ABOUT HIM? WHY ARE YOU BLAMING YOUR POVERTY ON HIM WHEN ALL INDICATORS ARE THAT KENYA'S ECONOMY IS EXPANDING IN LEAPS AND BOUNDS EXCEPT FOR 2020/21 (BECAUSE OF COVID)?
Talking of Covid, Kenya's response has been termed one of the best in the developing world, but what do Kenyans do? BLAME UHURU for the epidemic!
Nimeanza kuona kama hii blame game is the usual bonobo crap ya passing the buck and never taking personal responsibility. bONOBOS WHO CAN'T THINK, INNOVATE OR CREATE WEALTH ARE FINDING AN EASY TARGET IN THE PRESIDENT.
And tribalism has a very, very big part to play in this shitstorm...............
Logic. You could have cited where you got 80% of households with electricity instead of writing bullshit.I have a doc saying 6 million households are connected to electricity(KNBS). The same KNBS data states that Kenya has Households – 12.2 million households. I also have thisSir, instead of asking STUPID questions and giving UNINFORMED opinions, give us IRREFUTABLE figures. Mambo ya base ya Mugoka is low IQ shit.
our kins got those tablets, I visited bundalangi last year and was surprised schools there got them too, sijui gava mod of distribution but I saw them, the only draw back I had with them is about support and the OS becoming incompatible with newer apps,
Research into who owns the battery farms in UG (Uganda and Uasin Gishu!) that due to economies of scale are able to undercut the small scale farmer with a thousand hens...Tukueni honest with one another.the importation of eggs from UG destroyed the poultry business. It may take years to recover!
Maybe you missed the policy when it was developed from the manifesto.
Which schools are going to benefit from the programme?
All public primary schools in Kenya will benefit from the programme.

Yes, let's be honest with each other. I see you talking about equality in taxes but you conveniently forget to mention that NCBA merger was excempt from capital gains tax of about 300M.Research into who owns the battery farms in UG (Uganda and Uasin Gishu!) that due to economies of scale are able to undercut the small scale farmer with a thousand hens...Tukueni honest with one another.
Outliers sir? I just quoted recent examples in the media! But I have to admit you show some intelligence in a your manner of insults. Some.Vacuity is when one has to use outliers to buttress his stupid points.
Sir, we all respect your wide travel across Kenya. Some of us just rely on data supplied by donors, the gavament and also anecdotal evidence from emote places like Ndeiya. Kindly bless us with your unimpeachable data. Asante. This data is highly misleading given that it captures both grid and off-grid solutions. In a majority of cases, the off-grid solutions in Kenya are not anywhere as effective as grid electricity, which means they do not qualify to be classified as electricity. Welcome to the world of gafament apologism
Thank you for your response. Your ability to write coherently is amazing given your obvious constraints. The banning of imports in consolidated cargo , I'm not sure it's still in place but it ruined a lot of small traders in downtown Nairobi and had a domino effect on shop rentals, transport, eaterys and bars all belonging to Mt.K people
The importation of milk from UG at ksh 17 ruined many milk farmers and the importation of eggs from UG destroyed the poultry business. It may take years to recover!

These are just a few examples of stupid policies that have affected peoples pockets, like some wise ones said,
IT'S THE ECONOMY STUPID!
I will grant it to you that the Kenya-tta Inc. economy has been "expanding by leaps and bounds" but the Kenya Inc. economy is on a sharp decline! Don't confuse the two!
Thank you sir for your robust reply. I see, however, that your unverifiable data (source?) is rather dated, from 2018, three years ago. perhaps you operate on a different time scale, so no wass............................Logic. So you can take your dirty opinions elsewhere.
...And for maziwa, do I need to tell what's in public domain?
excise duty on bundles, bottled drinkThe tax rates are as they were 10 years ago. GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF ANY THAT HAS BEEN RAISED.
Wow, they do spend a hell of money, right? How much of that is use to pay teachers? How much is left?Hii serikali ya Uhuru is a cunning one, as at September 2020 they reported to have distributed 1,168,798 laptops to 99% of all public schools, commendable, right??
Wrong!! None have been distributed to what should have been the pioneer class who are now headed to Grade 5
None have been distributed to private schools
And worse still, as at 2019 (latest MOE report I could find) we had 3.1million learners in Grades 1,2 and 3, only 1.2million tablets had been delivered by September 2020, we have not even covered 50% of the targeted learners!
They rushed to deliver to 99% of schools to use that to cover up the fact that only 37.6% of the targeted population has been reached.
And this from a ministry spending more than 600B each year, how else should we define failure?
Wow, they do spend a hell of money, right? How much of that is use to pay teachers? How much is left?
I am asking you guys to show, to demonstrate that your education was worth something - ANY THING - by making coherent, defendable arguments, not Muguka base manenoz.
