ION - Just this week I was dealing with a report that half the children in Marsabit County schools could be Ethiopian. Either the mothers move to Kenya a few weeks to birth so that when the child is delivered in a Kenyan health facility they get Notification of Birth, the first step to acquiring a birth cert, or the ethiopians hire a kenyan couple to register the child as their own.

Possible judging by the children traffic into Kenya each morning and towards Ethiopia each evening, at the border point.

We have a big problem on our hands because we share a border with a country with a population of 100 million, Ethiopia is now the second most populated country in Africa.
 
I know of a day school somewhere where the teachers posted by Tsc are relatively young. They duped the principal to accept students with higher marks than the ones previously admitted. They were doing this with the sole reason being to reduce the intake per class hence decrease their workload.
Wah, wacha the principal try balancing the accounts with the reduced intake since his Secretary refused to play ball by inflating these Nemis figures. This year amesema hiyo upus hataki hata 100 marks anachukua wenye wanataka ustaarabu waache job or waseek transfers elsewhere. Kulikuwa kubaya coz us suppliers were finding it rough as payments weren't forthcoming.
Ninaona ameconvert one of the stores into a class

Now this makes sense, I know of school anyone with whichever marks walks in and get admission. The principal is my friend but he never explained why he was doing that

Spoke too soon
The government on Monday gave school principals the go-ahead to increase school fees in order to fund infrastructure development.
Speaking during the release of Form One selection results at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha said the extra funds will go a long way in supporting infrastructure development, which he acknowledged is strained due to the 100 per cent transition policy that is now in its second year.

accurate. the guy has made huge investments, having a single property worth over 50m among many others sio rahisi. Enyewe hii Kenya ni Ujanja na ukora
