Would a BBI kind’a Arrangement Calm Down Chaos in Ethiopia

My one and only problem with BBI is the astronomical number of positions it creates and the fact that those positions will be shared out by the greedy political class with no regards to Mwananchi’s needs and aspirations.

Having said that, I agree with Uhuru that the broad based leadership that would be created by BBI would alleviate the problems we get after every election whereby we behave more less like wild dogs hunting each other on the streets and alleyways with pangas and axes.
BBI, if properly implemented could give each tribe a stake in the Government and avoid a situation where some feel disenfranchised and marginalised.

Which brings me to the point I want to explore today. Could the present upheavals in Ethiopia be diffused and tackled by a more representative arrangement even though it calls for more money and more compromises being made?
The Tigrays comes across as very entitled people who take the view that they can never be lorded over by other tribes.
The Oromos and Amharics feels it is their time to eat and rule just like the Trigays did for many years.
Could a BBI arrangement be the way to dodge the bullet that is heading towards Ethiopia’s head?

The actions that Abiy Ahmed took to end Tigray domination were rather hasty. Instead of letting it be gradual through natural attrition etc he appeared rather vindictive. It was a quick succession of Moisque moves - remember ukikata moja panda mbili? This led to the Tigray feeling besieged and something had to give to forestall further "persecution". They'll have no choice but to talk and very soon.

Kenya and Ethiopia are worlds apart as far as their outlook and governments are concerned. So the BBI arrangement is a failure from the outset.

Oromos and Somalis want out of Ethiopia. They have no reason to trust Addis any more.

Amharas want to dominate everyone else, Tigrayans who were originally pro Ethiopia due to their numbers will likely want more autonomy as opposed to less of it and will want Afewerki dead.

And this isn't even touching the various smaller states who increasingly want more autonomy and are entitled to it via their federalist constitution which guarantees rights of secession.
