I've been watching alot of documentaries of late such as Europe or die others and I've come to appreciate Kenya more despite our challenges. Iko nchi watu wanapitia shida kweli kweli. Ile shida refugees wanapitia trying to cross into Europe through Spain, Italy, Greece and Bulgaria sio jokes. They pay $600 kuwekwa kwa boat which has 700 or more passengers!!!. Na hakuna kupewa life jackets because it reduces the space for people to fit in the boat.

My question after watching these migrant documentaries, how come the Syrians, Somalis, and Libyans don't want to cross into states like Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Saudia where they can easily fit in the culture but prefer to go to EU?

Just finished watching this documentary. Iko watu wanapitia shida despite living in a very modern city.

Hong Kong is a crazy place, unbelievable.
People go to EU and US because they assume that's where success is, and the fact that you can get 'assimilated' and you get citizenship. Apart from Swiss, getting that Swiss thing isn't easy.
Gulf hakuna citizenship so you will always be a foreigner in every aspect of the definition.

I think is mostly because of freedom and liberties in those countries. One knows, if he starts a family in europe or US, there're high chances of them getting a better life than in those Gulf states.
