As opposed to, he went into a random room, which happened to have a woman and, in the dark, tried to rape her? The husband happened to be just hanging around the door and instead of calling the police decided he wanted 1M ksh in compensation?

I'm not saying the other side of the story is totally believable. I doubt that a whole armed senator, with a bodyguard can be assaulted, kidnapped, humiliated, extorted and ridiculed in an upmarket establishment and fail to lift an eyelid.

He knows those people and that's why he cut them a check. Why didn't he have them arrested in Jan 29? Why wait for 6 months?
