Will the Church do the Lord’s work then?

Let’s give credit where credit is due - The Church has acknowledged that they did the wrong thing by endorsing Jambas as the Anointed of the Lord.
They have genuinely sought our forgiveness for leading their flock astray.

Without delving too much into their feeble and lame excuses that they were lied to and that Jambas was a fraud, let us cut them some slack as we have witnessed first hand how Jambas is a conjuror and a perennial liar.

True repentance however demands change of ways, direction and trajectory.
Seeing that the Church has exposed Jambas as a liar, a thief and a murderer, isn’t it the high time that they dealt with him the Bible way - ostracise and cut him off?

I can’t think of a better way of doing this than publicly denouncing Jambas and declaring him persona non grata who would be considered a criminal trespasser into their congregation.
A total and irrevocable ban.
Only such a bold move would persuade us that the Church is truly penitent.

I completely agree. After discussing everything that happened during the chaotic campaign period with my lead pastor, he proposed that the larger Christian community would need to participate in a national repentance prayer.

This is because Jambas misled the church with his facade of humility, supported by his equally insincere wife. Additionally, many men and women of the faith accepted tainted "donations" while JSKS was the Deputy President. Rumor has it that pastors with congregations of over 200 members were especially targeted for these dubious schemes. I’m thankful that we as CITAM didn’t get involved.

It’s also pretty ironic that the Church now feels like the country's unofficial opposition.

I have very little hope for the institutional church, as this is not the first time. Even in 2007 the church was very political and took sides and didn't have the moral authority to condemn the ensuing chaos.

It's pure greed that leads the institutional church, no one lied to them. They knew very well they were receiving donations from looted funds. They knew very well the characters of some of these politicians, but for political reasons didn't call them out. But now that the general sentiment of Kenyans has turned against their direction, and one of their own has been touched, they are trying to claim to be on the good side.

Citam had a nice small congregation opposite this little dispensary...ask why they closed it..

Nowadays I just park the nduthi at a kiosk nearby and have my Sunday treat..

I'm happy that a majority and esp. the young wameona finally that church ni nyoka. This and covid has dealt the church a fatal blow. From now going forward church will have a shrinking congregation

Generally it's sad, because a godless society, as we see in the West, leads to extreme societal decay.

Problem is the institutional church in Kenya has been corrupted, they do not practice the faith they profess. They attract crooks and repel people with a genuine desire to find truth
