Who advises Ruto and do we have a functional Parliament?

Tiiga Waana

Elder Lister
Ruto has upon his homecoming from his sumptuous sojourn in US volunteered in, it has to be said, a haughty and dismissive manner that his luxurious flights only costed the Kenyan tax-payer a paltry 10 Million as opposed to the actual total cost of 200 Million..

It now transpires upon further revelations that the due balance of 190 Million (95%) was paid for by some Arab friends.
Now, this would be much ado about nothing were it not for the fact that Kenya is a Nation of Law and Order and our Laws and Statutes proscribe the way and the manner gifts to Public Officials are handled to prevent Conflict of Interest and other related Corruptions in the Public Sphere.

This begs the question as to whether the President is being competently and adequately advised.

And, by the way, where is our Parliament and why is it that no emergency motion has been filed to demand a full and frank disclosure on this serious matter as the law demands?

How I wish this was true. Ruto and his entire cabinet would be in jail.

The problem is bigger than you can imagine:

1. The church. We no longer have the Njoyas, the Alexander Muges, the Henry Okulus, the David Gitaris and the Ndingi mwana Nzekis

2. Civil Society. We no longer have the Kivutha Kibwanas, the Dr. Gibson Kamau Kurias, the Willy Mutungas

3. Parliament. We no longer have the Martha Karuas, the orengos, the Shikukukus, the George Anyonas, the Paul Muites.

4. LSK- We no longer have presidents like the Paul Muites, the Nzamba Kitongas, the Gibson Kamau Kurias,

5. Student leaders - We no longer have the calibre of Kabando wa Kabando, the Miguna miguna, the Wanyiri Kihoros, the James Orengos, the Mwendawiro Mganga
