We Thank Ruto

No generation has largely kept away from voting unless you bring statistical data to prove it. JS was mostly voted for by men and women in their 20s and 30s. Ngima when was the first time you voted? How old were you? I had just left high sch when I cast the ballot during the 2010 referendum. Most of my agemates then voted too. If I'm asked why I did, I'd say it was the excitement of being a voter. They all do. Let nobody lie that young people are capable of bringing change coz they are young.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said the audit shows the number of registered youths aged 18-34 years old stands at 39.84 per cent, representing a 5.27 per cent decline compared to 2017.

• He said the report further revealed male youth enrollment has declined by 2.89 per cent over the five-year period.

It's not that they are young, it's they have the numbers to bring about change if they snapped out of their apathy about politics, and if anything the last few days have shown some hope that they have.

Have you considered cutting the fat off government spending like shelving grandiose projects like new state lodges and remodelling until kingdom come?

And here lies the problem at the end of the day they will have to back a politician who will have to go the nine yards including picking a deputy
You do not need a politician to win an election. Many non-politicians have won seats in the past.
