I wouldn't advice trading the news. This is the time to sit out and wait for the waters to calm down.

Funny enough, it wasn't unexpected, even though it was an extreme scenario. Treasury had the idea of floating a yen dominated bond but it was placed on the back burner because of the off chance the BOJ hiked rates.

Now we are waiting to see what the FED do. The world economy/financial system has always been one huge Fugazi. The collapses are now coming in shorter intervals.
