Ngilus reaction.
NGILU: Forget Linturi, are we going to pretend that we don’t know the owner of the dog? It’s a pattern with the lieutenants of that dog owner. It’s the owner of the dog that should send chills down the spines of all Kenyans, not just those that live and work in the Great Rift Valley.

A spur of the moment comment can bring you lots of problems.
Reminds me of the class 6 short story of the talking skull. 'what brought you here?' 'Talking'.

That is exactly what i have been saying all along that raila is responsible for the last two PEVs that have rocked this country, Ngilu has just put that into context

@Clemens,
From where I am seated, it looks like that choice of words was not accidental or “spur of the moment” but deliberate, calculated and premeditated to cause the greatest impact.
After all, this is a Guy who courts violence and controversy wherever he turns.

Meru Senator Mithika Linturi to be moved to DCI headquarters, Nairobi, after interrogation in Nakuru, County Criminal Investigations Officer Anthony Sungut says.

A good thing law checks on the 'intent' we all know he shall leave with just a 'slap on the wrist' pardon my usage of the cliche.

dont think so, if they do they are more stupid than i thought
Every Defendant has a Right to Counsel. It is a fundamental Human Right recognised as a Right to Fair Hearing.
A Lawyer is there to help the Defendant understand the charges levelled against them and the plea to take and also to assist the Court deliver justice by arguing the facts and the laws relevant to the material facts of a case.

A Lawyer is not there to obsessively and blindly argue that a Defendant is innocent when facts and law points a different conclusion.

Not always so @Clemens.
There are exemptions where guilty intent is not always determined. There are certain offences widely referred to as Strict Liability Cases where intention is not important.

Example: If you @Clemens drive your car without insurance because it lapsed last night and you forgot to renew it this morning, you are nevertheless Guilty of a Criminal Act despite absence of intention.
