The name Karura has a cultural significance to the people of Kiambu County, have you ever thought of that.

Karura Division still exists, as does the settlement across the ridge from Ndenderũ. They are in Kĩambu while the forest is in Nairobi.

Let the Kĩambu folks plant themselves a new forest if they want one.

Well so be it, changing names of historical sites to honour the dead is bonoboistic in my opinion, why not fund her foundation to ensure each and every constituency has a mini forest? In developed countries this doesn't happen, the other day I found that Accra road had been renamed Matiba road, is naming the only way of honouring the dead heroes/heroines?
