This morning, the High Court is set to decide whether Ferdinand Ndung’u Waititu Baba Yao, a man with a college degree but no known classmates, and his wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u, will forfeit assets worth KSh 2 billion to the State. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) alleges that these assets were acquired through the misappropriation of public funds during Waititu's tenure as Governor of Kiambu County. The inability of the suspects to account for the assets led the EACC to file a forfeiture suit. The judgment will be delivered by Justice Prof. Nixon Sifuna.
