MORE ON CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
In December 2019, the coronavirus was seemingly confined to China.
But, a few weeks later, the virus, which causes the illness known as COVID-19, became a global pandemic.
The virus, which leads to a respiratory illness that can be transmitted from droplets of bodily fluids - such as mucus and saliva, has now been reported in at least 185 countries.

According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, more than 1.8 million people have been infected, and the global death toll is more than 110,000. More than 412,000 patients have recovered.

I got acquainted with these islands when working with a team that was working on banning plastics huko Pacific. Initially, I thought Kiribati was a village somewhere in Limuru :ROFLMAO:

There's another one called Palau where they've banned sunscreen and wazungus who visit have to clean up after themselves as well. Great results followed.

Aside, did you know that Comoros was founded by Pokomos in the first millennium? Name come from the surname Komora, still in use until today.

The expolers ships were after the hidden treasure banae, either that or they were after the kraken or moby dick when they stumbled upon them
Europeans were late to the navigation game. Gashui is right, they either used to discover through getting blown off course or finding African or Asian navigators to guide them.

Christopher Columbus chief navigator was a guy called Pedro Alonso Nino(google him). A dark black guy who took Colombus to America, and subsequently forgotten because his skin color was inconvenient to European superiority notions.

"Apart from Kenya, Kamba people can also be found in Uganda, Tanzania and in Paraguay.[citation needed] The population of Akamba in Uganda is about 8,280, 110,000 in Tanzania and about 10,000 in Paraguay.[citation needed]
The Kamba people in the South American country of Paraguay[11][12] form two groups: Kamba Cuá and Kamba Kokue with the former being the most famous.[13] They arrived in Paraguay as members of a regiment of 250 spearmen ('lanceros de Artigas'), men and women, who accompanied General Jose Gervasio Artigas, in his exile in Paraguay in 1820.[14] The Kamba Cuá are famous for their African traditional ballet that is described as the "central cultural identity of the Afro-Paraguayan community".[15]"

I thought colombus was looking for an alternative route to asia by going round the "backside" and only stumbled across the Americas by mistake?
