To the young lady, it is a windfall. This comes with tons of money and lots of clout. Undoubtedly, her family's fortunes have changed from this day to forever. The course of her life has taken a totally different direction from that of a normal girl her age and from her village. I am really happy and I wish all the best for her.

Her constituents, however, watajua hawajui. Ukioana na kiwete, marafiki hawana budi kusherehekea mapenzi yenu. Kama vile tunasherehekea kuchaguliwa kwa huyu msichana. But you will realise the price of your sacrifice when it comes to carrying your spouse around and washing them on a daily basis at home. Marafiki watakua wanawaangalia kutoka hukooo! Hata kama ni nini, this is not the right choice for them to an office that is laden with so much responsibilities. So many hyenas and jackals will be milling around her taking advantage of her naivety.

But who am I, anyways? I am not even educated and so I should not be saying nothing!

Yes, you should keep quiet. Concentrate on scrap matters. Winning the nomination doesn't guarantee winning in Aug. There are many other candidates competing for the post in different parties and independents. Watu hawachagui chama wanachagua the right candidate.

Despite all these, she might turn out to be the best. In 2013, degree was made mandatory for legislators, but look at what they've done? Senate was filled by who is who, amos wako, orengo etc aged men whom you expected to ooze wisdom pass sensible laws etc . But look at how it turned to be. Justine muturi, a person by virtue of being a former magistrate, you expected to exercise impartiality as a speaker. So many examples . Looked at the aged women we elected in 2017,waruguru, wamuchomba, korir & others ,they've never even champion anything or speak in parliament.

I have said many times before and been called an apologist and so on: that to collect all the sins of our collective failures and pile them at the feet of one man is being lazy. We fail to look at the whole picture to be able to judge if we gave Mr Kenyatta the right environment to do what we expected of him.
-First, we saddled ourselves with a dysfunctional constitution...
- Second he was implementing a new constitution and new system of government
...
Once you evaluate the environment in which he had to do his assignment you might be fairer in your assessment.

Mimi siko UDA ama chama nyingine yoyote. I don't vote. I am only a spectator who happens to be impressed more by Kenya Kwanza's game than the other team's. I never was a diehard fan of Raila and his odm. Presently, I happen to have this disenchantment with Uhuru and his jubilee. I cannot let myself to be lied to by UDA to a point of becoming a sycophant because I have been been there before and I know very well that all these politicians are just hounds that belong to the same pack! There is time for them to groom each other and a time to fight for food. Us, raiya, are their prey!
