We don't need
BBI !
guys blaming bbi yet haije pita, naikipita je? shida ni legislation , formula ya erc was passed by parliament, no one has come out to say the formula needs to be revised, also when oil was low, they increased levy in the name of cushioning against high international prices, so far no mp has questioned where the 5 bob per liter went, last i researched on it, there was no even a single legislation on how the 5 bob will be used to cushion hustlers' sahi the fuel can go only up with increase in international prices till the mps revisit the formula that they passed na watoe hiyo 5 bob they put.

Petrol in Kenya should be going for around Sh105 if gavament agreed to cushion consumers and jump-start the economy.

But we have very unimaginative bureaucrats who don't seem to know the consequences of their actions.

For example: Higher gas prices = higher usage of firewoood and charcoal = deforestation = food insecurity.

10 years from now we are asking FAO to donate food to us.

Or: Higher oil prices = higher business operating costs = inflation = collapse of small businesses = joblessness = lower tax base = lower taxes collected.

Unashangaa na huu ujinga...................
