Culture is dynamic and changes with time. That's why some retrogressive practices are done away with, we adopt some and move on with life. But neglecting it altogether is not only detrimental to future generations in understanding who they are (origin) but also leaves us open to whims and other cultural practices that are alien in nature such as the LGBT nonsense.

The way that people lived in the past over hundreds/thousands of years carries a wealth of knowledge that is based on understanding one's body, self, environment and society's role in it.
The above inform the lifestyle that an individual and a community will lead. A good example is the diet that one consumes nutritionally and mentally.
Don't you think that our current health issues(physical and mental) are intrinsically linked to our lifestyle which is inalienable from our current culture?
The culture of our past is a book that we're better off reading than leaving closed. I'm not encouraging going back to circumcise women,
I'm saying let's preserve and study it well. Let's pick and choose what works for us, because that living book of knowledge will disappear before someone has written it down.

Our culture defines who we are as a people, we can borrow heavily from it and good cases examples that should not be lost from our culture is something like alternative dispute resolutions, showing elders respect, value of honest work....
