I once ventures into selling mtumba bags in Gikomba a few years back. A fire broke out twice while I was there. My stuff was spared but was looted on both occasions.
Imagine scrolling through the net at 12am or walking up at 4am and seeing "Gikomba on fire". Saa hizo you're deep in Kiambu, and even if you were near you wouldn't do a thing! I couldn't live with constant stress like that. I fagiad went to hustle elsewhere. And that's what GoK wants. Gladly, not everyone can be frustrated and intimidated like I was.
I still get PTSD when I hear about these fires.
