I will start with the best;
1. Law - i have never come across a struggling lawyer hapa Kenya, law is where the money is
2. Hardware - hii biashara is super profitable...majority of them usually have a pickup or two and a lorry parked hapo nje...this also applies to the timber business
3. Alcohol wholesale - hii nayo, as long as you are able to handle the hundreds of gavament licenses and dealing with corrupt cops, you can make a lot of money selling to the millions of wines and spirits

The worst are:
1. Accountants - these ones are the original sufferers of god, always looking shrivelled, sio viatu, sio koti...even their sacco, a conglomerate of accountants, was still conned billions by kussco, na hawataona any dividends this year
2. Restaurants - sijui ni kwanini lakini biashara ya restaurant ni noma sana, a new joint opens up and before ushibe ishafungwa...it is very counter intuitive, that the very thing that is constant from the wealthy to the struggling is hunger and that man must eat, so why are businesses built on this guarantee just failing/struggling left right and center?
3. Selling mens clothes - this is obvious, when a man knows where to get good clothes, he will stick there and rarely look into another shop.

To be continued....

I think you meant restaurants?

do you tend to shop around ama you know exactly where to go?
I know where to go. How is this bad for business? Let me give you one example, i used to buy fish at Wakalucy along Eastern Bypass but the service changed from good to terrible but still at the same amount. At the same rate, i can get better service at The Big Fish near Mountain Mall.
It's not that business is bad , consistency is the problem .

Exactly, you have hit the nail on the head, maybe that is on of the reasons why some of restaurant businesses fails terribly.

On clothes, you have also validated my initial comment, men rarely go to new places, they stick to where the shops they know

In my case and i am sure many others it's not clothes only. When i am happy with a service i stick to the provider.
The inconsistency is what makes Jiji a shithole it is .
