The calving season in Ndutu happens between Feb and March, then they start moving northwards in search of pasture. Most of the wildebeest herds are now in the Ndutu region of the greater Serengeti ecosystem and it is arguably one of the most spectacular phenomena during the annual migration. An estimated 500,000 wildebeest are born over a very short period, with the newly born calves up and running only an hour after birth.
Other than that, because of the deforestation in the watershed over the past years, the current of the running water in Mara River has been dangerously high.
