Kenya is an island in East Africa.
To the North S.S and Ethiopia are in civil strife, the same for Somalia to the East, Tanzania to the South and Uganda to the West. Don't forget Burundi as well. Did I forget Rwanda? At least they have good PR.
Most if not all of these countries currently have presidents challenging term limits with Tanzania and Uganda being the most visible.
What makes you think Kenya is any different?
You have already seen the future of Kenya under BBI but you have probably ignored it or even celebrated it.
Where? The take over of Nairobi County by the NMS. Sonko was coarced or willingly donated power to the NMS and became just a Governor by title. But when he shut the financial tap, the source of funds for the Kenyatta Northlands Project, he was impeached and now he is chasing his tail in the courts.
I am telling you here and now, the BBI is the C4 to blow the hinges of the doors of the democratic liberties of the Kenyan state.
I fear whether we like it or not, this thing will be forced through. What we are looking at is a president who after mutilating the constitution will then kick in another ammendment abolishing constitutional term limits.
Remember, they don't want this referendum to be done after or with the 2022 election. I wonder why?
I also fear that at one point the BBI which was a Raila idea was taken over Uhuru and RAO is now just a passanger. After all, he is a political surviver.
