I, Guka Field Marshal CouchP wish to apologise profusely and most sincerely for lapses in judgement, as well as lack of forebearance, in responding to certain provocations directed at me recently. As a senior citizen and as a person of a particular standing, I needed to show more circumspection and prudence.

For this I stand chasticised and repentant. I am sorry.

Having said this, I wish to request that all those who are so inclined hereby stop forthwith directing to me any utterances, innuendos, comments, statements, declarations and/or pronouncements that impute, suggest or promote homosexuality. As a man of an earlier era, a proud Gikuyu cut and bled at the river when men were men, I find these statements absolutely objectionable and disgusting. To me, they are such an abomination that they trigger what I can only describe as momentary insanity, leading me to the errors of judgement as I have recently made.

Finally, I wish to confirm that I will continue to be a responsible member of the Senate, and will at all times endeavour to hold myself to the standards and conduct that promote the integrity and dignity of this House.
