Those are the adverse effects of development.
One day you are relaxing in your estate with no worries then your local Mp after much pestering from you residents gets the road from point A to point B upgraded.
Now instead of you pesterers enjoying your newly remade road, another rude lot of matatu, lorry and truck drivers find it a convenient short cut to wherever.
When you were asked about the conditions on that road you gleefully replied how smooth it is.
