That's not true. The DP is not independent from the presidency. He did not assent to any appointment, all his power is purely delegated.

Which article of our constitution gives the DP any power? Quote it.

It is an independent office unlike the Vice President role where they were appointed by the president.
The DP is elected into the seat alongside the presidential candidate. That is why these clowns are calling for him to resign.
I am not talking about the powers assigned to the office.

this government has been ignoring court orders, the foot soldiers have been cheering it on especially when it suited them or when they were in the feeding trough,. Also a big chunk of citizenry were also cheering it on .
sahi the south Korea ambassador position was filled in total disregard of both parliament and courts reservations yet guys are cheering it on based on political inclinations. even if the dp resigns,nothing much will happen, so watu waache uwoga, Kenya politics is not principled , no alliance can be that shocking, after all the suspects are the same.
possible "shocking" announcements.
1. appoint rao to cs? not shocking will only cement ruto mt Kenya support.
2. ,ruto resigns? nothing much will happen, no violence, can't risk mt Kenya support for 2022' it's better to fight from within than outside
3. appoint Gm,kalonzo to cs? nobody will even notice.
4. says ruto tosha? maybe a few riots in nyanza but will die off very quickly, mt Kenya will erupt in jubilation. rao support in rest of the country dropped after handshake..
5'make more threats about graft in the country? who will take it seriously anyway.
6. says he's too young too retire and bbi will give him room to "serve" Kenyans more? not shocking .
7 "new " icc evidence? ,can't implicate self, they're tied to the hips with ruto.

Very accurate points.

I think on the 4th one, even if Uhuru says Ruto tosha, I doubt his word carries any wait, or more accurately, as much weight as it did in the Mt Kenya region.

He has burnt too many bridges to the point that Ruto has made in-roads into the region.

I can't definitively tell you what to expect in the coming months, but it tells you a lot when the president litterally goes all out to fight his deputy as if he vying for another term.

How is Ruto's campaigning affecting his ability to current out development in all honesty to the point you ask him to quit?

I have never heard a more stupid explanation to sabotage. As the men of yore used to say, where a dog barks at you and its owner is unwilling to ask it to stop, chances are high that he asked it to bark and possible bite you. Ruto's minions are on record trashing each and every govt initiative after his men were chased from their leadership positions. He has never come out to stop them.

Has Uhuru stopped Murathe from flapping his gums or Kamanda or Tuju? When it comes to Uhuru his minions are acting on their own volition sio?
