I keep wondering, cou8ld the Americans and the Egyptians have a hand in this? Because I can't understand how 5% of the Ethiopian population, conveniently near the Reinnassance Dam, can take on 95% of their country AND Eritrea........................
I would go with Egypt. Definitely coz of the dam. They realized they couldn't stop it's construction,so they need to control it in other ways...

Ni upus ya Abiy na the Tigrinyas. The Tigrinyas enjoyed closeness to power when Meles Zenawi was in power. Now Abiy has stripped away some of what they had and they are not happy. He's now doing what Meles did to the Oromos.

It might draw them in, if it hasn't already. UAE is said to have supplied both Ethiopia and Eritria with drones for the conflict. This is likely to draw in Qatar, and by extension, Turkey, to aid the Tigrinyas. Turkey wakiingia uwanjani Egypt will follow on the UAE's side.

With the civil war, the Egyptians can bomb it and blame it on the Tigreyans. That's what he meant...............
That reminds me. Egypt and Sudan are holding joint air exercises at the Merowe Air Force Base.

They are calling themselves. Eagles of The Nile.

they are not that stupid, the consequences would be unimaginable. from environmental to even a full blown war. Remember Egypt too is dealing with terrorism in the Sinai peninsula as well as political unrest which Ethiopia too can leverage.
And they are also planning to march into Libya to help Haftar, whom the Turks sent running away from Tripoli.
