Thieving Kenyans

I go through the same shit every time I come around too. Taxis, barbershops, waiters, random moochers...Kenyans feel entitled to overcharge you or make some extra money if (they think) you are rich. It's accepted as an everyday thing. It is funny and sad at the same time to see people in that thread getting outraged because it happened to a white guy and he broadcast it to the world. If it was someone like me documenting this experience, the comments would be very dismissive and mocking. We are okay with doing it to ourselves but feel shame when it happens to others.

Huko Kericho kama hawakujui or you don't converse in the local language, your fare is a little bit steeper.

:)

Umefanya nikumbuke mbali.

Kuna siku nikikua natoka Sotik niekielekea Chelilis, nikaitishwa fare na ki-kale.... nikaelewa but nikajifanya sielewi so I had to converse in swahili....

Nikajua fare is a certain amount,...

Well just after Litein nikapeana noti ya 200.... expecting change....

To cut the long story short... Ile kipsigis nili Ongea.....

Majamaa Wali shangaa.
