In Central Kenya, over 65 per cent of voters are over 35 years. These are busy people who don't engage on Twitter or some silly polls. They are too busy hustling or managing wealth. (Do you expect Guka, Meria or Mwarimo to stop what they are doing to participate in a Kameme poll?)

Those older voters tend to side with the status quo, and many are loyal to the La Familia.

how come they are not able to influence those less than 35 years to vote like them? or could it be that they are being influenced to move away from status quo

On a different perspective from the prospecive duke of Makuenishire, the young voters tend to be less royal to tribe and shiet
Hawa wazee ndio wale siasa ya 1965 bado wameshikilia, with a good example being ukambani. Vijana wako na rao, but kuna seniors wanadai hawawezi mpigia.

You are overlooking one very important. The poll was taken by Kameme FM. That means something as it's widely known which side they are on.

35% of 35 year olds are voters. Wachana na kura oracle of there ebu tuambie vile KNBS wanatudanganyanga vile Kikuyu's make the largest tribe in Kenya.

Average Kikuyu household has 4 kids when an average Luhya household has 5 kids

An average Kikuyu has 1 wife while an average luhya has 2 wives

An average Kikuyu girl gets married to an average Kikuyu man at the age of 21 and divorce by the age of 27

An average luhya marries at 19 and doesn't divorce instead marries another tribe at 32
