The moment of the attack on former Japanese Prime Minister Abe.

The suspect in the attack on Abe has been detained and offered no resistance, local media reported. He was identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, 40, a resident of Nara, the city where the former prime minister was speaking.

Prior to 2005, Abe's shooter had served in the Japan Navy Self-Defense Forces for three years.
