So there is this club I used to frequent, sasa nimeona imekufa ndi ndi ndi.

And thus my question is this, what are the main factors of clubs dying? And I am sure clients walikuwa nao....and there was a very popular DJ who would come play at the club..

Lakini nashangaa ilikufaje? And how can current clubs avoid that fate? Any views?

@Female Perspective @Karma_mama @Tiiga Waana were once tuchungwas....

I once put up a thread here about the once famous Rafikiz in Langata that is now ChickenInn & that French named confectionary store.

Haya, another famous club that is now no more is Kengeles Nairobi West. Took this pic sometimes back ata sikuamini na vile hadi wasanii walikuwa wanaitaja taja kwa nyimbo zao.

Ni joints chache sana zimebaki relevant. Ata 1824 siku moja itakuwa in history. Maybe only Carni can sustain itself for decades to come and only because it's in itself a draw for tourists and nyama lovers meaning core business iko stable.

Kama Jambo Grill ilikufa any pub can die. Jambo Grill was at one time the biggest seller of phombe in the country. They used to sell 3 trucks of miguu kumi phombe each day Mon to next monday.

Ka-Dynasty banae. Yaani clubs unajua ni zile ziko njia ya Karen? (OK, and Rongai.......)

Rafikiz was messed up by ratchets from Kiserian and Rongai. That club was fine. Hizo nyang'au zikaleta mchele na wizi wa simu mbirrioneas tukajitoa..............one time I rear-ended Jakipash's vintage Peugeot nikitoka hapo in my classic Bima njaruo ililia machozzz kama mtoto.............true story....

First rule for a club: own the ferking premises. Otherwise landlord atakutoanisha.............vile anaona biz ikipick, anaongeza rent.....other businesses are rather opaque but a club kila kitu inaonekana.....
