After Kenya was declared a republic in 1964, the government acquired the building, which went on to house the Kinangop Law Courts, District Officer’s Headquarters and Lands ministry offices.

'Skull operators': Medicine men who drilled holes in the skulls of patients to relieve pain or pressure or cure disease.

Nyota: The cigarette my grandfather smoked for over 20 years. I used to go buy them for him.
Sweet Menthol SM: The cigarette smoked by my uncles for the longest time. One still smokes it.
The cigarette that I first bought when I was a novice smoker back in '92.
B&H: After being nicotine free for three months,I had to take a kunguru out huko Kachoi (Choices) along Baricho road. Entry ticket was a packet of B&H.

By morning, I had already finished that pack,bought a packet of SM and gone back to smoking full time.
Kyna,though you delivered 'ndiìriga muciì' every time,I blame you for my bad choices.
