An aerial publicity photograph from the East African Railways and Harbours Administration (EAR&H) showing the nearly completed wagon ferry terminal at Kisumu on Lake Victoria. with wagon ferries the m.v. ��Uhuru and the m.v. Umoja will each carry 20 large and 2 small railway wagons with a total weight of 1,164 tons. Photographed during construction, one of the floating cranes assisting in the final works completion.

With Mount Longonot forming the background, Tribal Class 29, 2931, Turkana, heads a freight across the Rift Valley. Turkana was built by the North British Locomotive works in Glasgow and was the last of the class entering service in 1955. It went to Tanzania Railways in 1977 -
