Hapa naona nani akiwa OTP . Why should i pay rates whereas tunajijingea bara bara , no water supply from govt ? Below are photos of the roads kukinyesha and even the bridge residents contributed to make it a reality . Hapa ni ward iko Juja constituency ,Kiambu County .

Why don't we wait for the proposals before we start moaning? The biggest problem Kenya has had aside from corruption is a narrow tax base. Government middle class employees have been carrying the entire load for a long time. It is time to spread the baggage evenly, which means we can start cutting taxes from things like fuel and basic food commodities.

Hiyo ya NSSF savings ni lazima, whether you get clobbered and robbed of your earnings. Hapo niko na Ruto 100%. While some structural changes have to be done, we cannot continue saving ati 200 bob. Then when serikali wants to borrow they have to go to banks while they can borrow your savings and give you back a higher percentage. Hii mambo ya land speculation has made home ownership almost impossible for most citizens. That will change. That must change.

You can only save if you are earning . Many who earn and can manage to save dont trust NSSF to manage their savings .Fix NSSF structures and people will not be forced to save .

The case i have shared ni pahali watu wamejenga or can you speculate kama bado unaishi pahali umejenga ?

Before tuanze kuongeza taxes deal with underlying issues that dont need taxes to fix . Like not hiring people of questionable characters in the cabinet or any other positions .

Most employed folks save more than that, they have private pension schemes which are run very well, Unless they scrap private schemes, i don't see anyway that the amount will go up, perhaps to may be1 k or less. I have no idea if government employees have private schemes , unless he is targeting that group. But for private be sure employers will resist since the current laws compels them to put something for their employees monthly

That is why I said government middle class employees. The expenditure comes from government. A simple way of clawing back that expenditure is by increasing savings contribution. That way the government in reality borrows from itself to develop infrastructure etc.

I am not well conversant with those in the private sector. So I will defer to you on that

I specifically mentioned government employees so the question of earning doesn't arise. The trust issue, I have already mentioned. Fix structural problems in NSSF. We are rushing to demonize the proposal yet we do not even know if restructuring NSSF is part of it.

Isn't that the goal? For people to own homes at fair prices. That is not likely if land speculation continues unabated. Home ownership allows individuals to save as well as access credit.

Hii ingine ya questionable characters is neither here not there. There are very few career politicians who have not been mentioned adversely. Hakuna mtu msafi.
